Embracing Bohemian style has always been about being different but also creative. And the only rule one needs to remember is that there are no rules. Because when it comes to Bohemian-inspired lifestyles, it’s all about being free and yourself. This is probably why Bohemian-inspired living has grown in popularity over the last few years. It’s quite a breather from our conventional and monotonous choices.

Here are a few ideas for a Bohemian-inspired tablescape for the next party you host.

Earthy Tones For The Placemats And Other Elements

Generally, if you’re going boho, you can choose any colors; there are no restrictions. But, if you’re clueless, we suggest choosing earthy tones as those have become somewhat of a convention for Bohemian decor.

Neutral earthy colors and lots of textures are what you should be aiming for. So, a plain white tablecloth and round placemats made of straw or cork would be excellent. Or, if you want to add a pop of color, you can mix and match some bright placemats made of thread.

Add Some Greenery and Lots of Dried Bits From Nature

Some natural aesthetics are a must for a Bohemian tablescape. Not only will they add color and texture but also a bit of the outdoors.

Choose some dried flowers and ferns or even just twigs and incorporate them into your table setting. You can place them in the center to create a centerpiece for the table or lay them out around the dishes for a natural look.

Use Lanterns and Vintage Candle Holders

Even if your table is indoors, you need to light it up for decorative purposes. It’ll help you tie the whole Bohemian look together.

Use a few assorted lanterns around the table—feel free to pick different colors and sizes. Also, find space for an elegant old-school candle holder in the center or smaller candle stands with white candles to create a vintage vibe.

Go For Brass and Gold Instead Of Silver

To make things look different, it’s good to use brass and gold-colored elements instead of silver ones. So, for instance, you can use gorgeous cutlery in an antique gold shade.

And for the lanterns, you can go with a brass-like effect. The candleholders should also be in gold or brass to add some drama to your entire setup.

Make Sure To Start With A Rustic Style Table To Make It All EasierA wooden table with a live edge

If you want your tablescape to look beautiful and authentic but are using a glass table, you’ll need to put in a fair bit of legwork.

So, we suggest using a live edge acacia wood table instead. It’ll look natural and rustic and perfectly blend in with your Bohemian decor—you can totally skip the tablecloth too!

And the brilliant thing about our custom live edge tables is that they can be styled and decorated any way you want—they’ll always look beautiful.
